Ford Recalls Ranger Again Over Side Curtain Airbag Risk

Ford has issued a major recall affecting thousands of Ranger pickups due to a defect in side curtain airbags that could compromise passenger safety.

Approximately 100,900 Ranger pickups from model years 2024–2026 are included in the recall.

The side curtain airbags may tear during deployment, creating a safety hazard.

All Rangers manufactured between December 9, 2022, and July 29, 2025, are impacted.

The B-pillar inner reinforcement flange can contact the airbag during deployment, causing it to rip.

This recall is part of a series, including earlier issues like brake booster defects and steering problems.

Ford is notifying owners directly via mail about the recall and the necessary repairs.

The shield parts required to fix the defect are not yet available but expected by Q4 2025.

Owners will receive a second notice once parts become available for the repair.

Once parts arrive, dealers will perform repairs at no cost to owners.
